Assistant Stock Accountant – OLA Energy
Major duties and accountabilities:
- Ensure that Head Office REVEX disbursements are certified for accuracy, completeness and capture them on the system before they are passed for payment.
- Make sure that payroll variable inputs are checked with the produced by the system before monthly process.
- Pass adjusting journal entries as and when requested.
- Ensure that all accounts under our own responsibility are reconciled and old items are cleared.
- Prepare closing journal vouchers for accruals and other accounts for subsequent data entry into the G/L Systems.
- Witnessing the physical stock at materials store on a quarterly basis and updating inventory system, follow up clearance of differences, if any.
- Assists the section in the monthly closing
About You
- BA Degree in Accounting/Finance or related field of studies from a recognized college/university
- 3 years’ experience in areas related to stock management and related areas.
Competencies/Skills needed
- Ability to work under pressure
- Having good analytical skills
- Very good team player
- Knowledge of the use of computers, i.e., MS Word and MS-Excel
- Good communication skills
- Experience in accounting and financial systems is advantageous
- Trained on IFRS is advantageous
