The Embassy of the Republic of Mauritius in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia was opened in June, 1996. H.E. Dr. Sahid Maudarbacus was the first resident Ambassador in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Our work at the Consulate covers a broad spectrum of activities including Application for Assistance to Mauritians in Distress Abroad, Application for Pensions, Information on Mauritian Passport, Information on Citizenship, Business Opportunities, Immigration & Health requirements, Laws and Regulations, Tourist Information, Visa and Entry Requirements and Residence Permit.
1: Administrative Assistant / Finance Officer
Skill and educational background
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Financial Management or similar
Computer literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel
Fluent in both written and spoken English and Amharic
Experience:
Minimum two (2) years’ experience in an office environment
Recommendation letter from previous employer should be included.
2: Clerical Officer/ Receptionist
Skill and educational background
Bachelor’s Degree any discipline
Computer literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel
Fluent in both written and spoken English and Amharic
Experience:
Minimum two (2) years’ work experience in library/registry management in an office environment
3: Logistic Assistant / Driver
Skill and educational background
Higher School Certificate (Secondary school completed)
Fluent in English
Valid Driver’s Licence
Experience:
Minimum two (2) years’ work experience as Driver. Past working experience with IGOs/Diplomatic Missions will be an advantage
4: Confidential Secretary To The Ambassador
Skill and Educational background
Bachelor’s Degree in Management / Secretarial Science
Computer literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel
Fluent in both written and spoken English and Amharic
Experience:
Minimum two (2) years’ work experience in an office environment
