Job Description
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources practices and processes to support the organization’s mission. This role ensures that the organization attracts, develops, and retains top talent, while fostering a positive, inclusive, and productive work environment.
MAIN ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop and implement human resources strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall organizational goals;
• Manage the recruitment and selection process to attract and hire qualified and experienced candidates, committed to conservation;
• Oversee employee relations, address grievances and foster a positive workplace culture;
• Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations;
• Develop, implement, and regularly update human resources policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure they are aligned with current laws, regulations, and organizational goals, promoting a fair, equitable, and compliant work environment;
• Provide support and guidance to management and employees on human resources policies, procedures and best practices;
• Develop and implement training and development programs to enhance employee skills and career growth;
• Facilitate performance management processes, including appraisals and feedback sessions;
• Promote diversity, equity and inclusion within the organization.
Job Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Master’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field;
• At least eight (8) years of experience as a Human Resources Manager or similar role, preferably in the conservation or non-profit sector.

Position 2: Finance Manager
Planning, Budgeting, and Forecasting
• Assist in the planning, budgeting, and forecasting process, ensuring compliance with assumptions, guidelines, and policies.
• Monitor departmental budget performance and recommend improvements.
• Provide cost data to program personnel for budget preparation and updates.
Fixed Asset Management
• Conduct annual inventory of fixed assets to determine their location and condition.
• Ensure accurate depreciation in accordance with APN’s policy and adequate protection of assets.
• Prepare requests for approval to dispose of missing, lost, stolen, damaged, or obsolete equipment.
Internal Control
• Continuously review internal controls to ensure accurate financial information, asset protection, adherence to policies, and smooth implementation of plans.
Payroll
• Ensure systems and procedures for accurate payroll preparation and disbursement in compliance with statutory requirements.
• Review and sign off monthly payroll, verifying amounts to be paid to staff.
Due Diligence and Audit
• Coordinate external audits with the Head of Finance, prepare draft financial statements and necessary notes, and draft responses to audit management letters.
• Ensure the closure and resolution of audit findings.
Job Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field;
• At least 9 years’ experience in a similar role, with 5 years in a similar field.
Position 3: Field Operations Manager
MAIN ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Oversee cost-effective operations, ensuring alignment with African Parks’ Business Plan, including facility, asset, fleet, and warehouse management.
• Serve as the primary contact for internal and external coordination.
• Provide operational support to the park, coordinating and supervising support activities to meet objectives.
• Manage housing, office, and warehouse facilities, ensuring security standards are met.
• Work with projects and finance teams to deliver programs while ensuring compliance with donor regulations.
• Support the development of budgets for park operations as part of proposal development.
• Ensure adequate planning and forecasting for the Operations Department.
• Maintain accurate records of all operations-related items.
• Develop team capacity, clarify roles, and assist with career development.
• Provide team members with information, tools, and resources to enhance performance and achieve objectives.
• Promote accountability, communicate expectations, and provide constructive feedback through regular reviews.
Job Requirements
•Relevant tertiary qualification, for Park operations/conservation/wildlife management or equivalent experience.
• At least 9 years’ experience in operations management, at least five years in managerial role.
