Governance and Ownership

Ownership

Aggar microfinance S.C is owned by more than 830 shareholders who paid more than Birr 370.4million as a paid up capital.

General Assembly

The General Assembly of the shareholders meets annually to hear the Board of Directors and external auditors report and decide on it and make strategic decisions.

Board of Directors

Seven Boards of Directors elected by the General Assembly frequently meets to review and discuss on the activities of the Company. They approved policy and procedure manuals needed to guide the operation of the Company. They also supervise management in the execution of approved strategic plan and evaluate the performance of management in the context of the goals and time frame outlined in the plan.

Aggar MFI is the primary Commercial private Microfinance established in accordance with proclamation No 40/96 which is currently changed by proclamation No.626/2009 to serve the “missing middle” to supply credit score and saving services in city and rural areas of the Country.

The founders envisioned addressing each social and profitability aims. Aggar was established by 443 shareholders with paid-up capital of Birr 4,243,600.00. Currently, its shareholders grew to greater than 750, its paid-up capital to greater than 200 million, and its whole belongings to greater than 410 million.

Position 1: BRANCH MANAGER I

Educational Qualification: BA Degree/College Diploma in Marketing/Management/Economics/Accounting or related subject

Experience: 5  years of related experience

    • Through knowledge of microfinance business
    • Excellent knowledge of firm operation policies
    • Good knowledge of financial  and marketing management rules and practices
    • Good communication skills
    • Basic pc application abilities

Position 2: DATA ENCODER /ACCOUNTANT I

Educational Qualification: BA degree/College Diploma  in Accounting & Finance or associated subject

Experience: 2/Four years of related work expertise in monetary establishment

Position 3: SENIOR RISK AND COMPLIANCE MANAGEMENT OFFICER

Educational Qualification: BA Degree in Management/Accounting/Economics or associated fields
Experience: Four years of relevant experience
Good information of microfinance enterprise
Good information of danger and compliance management rules and practices

Position 4: SECTION HEAD FINANCAL AUDIT

Educational Qualification: BA Degree in Accounting or related subject

Experience: Four years of relevant expertise

    • Comprehensive knowledge of auditing and accounting rules and practices
    • Thorough knowledge of  monetary laws and audit rules
    • Ability to   analyze financial statements
    • Good   information of microfinance enterprise

Position 5: SECTION HEAD PERFORMANCE AUDIT

Educational Qualification: BA Degree in Accounting/ Management or related subject

Experience: Four years of related expertise

    • Comprehensive knowledge of auditing and accounting rules and practices

    • Ability to   analyze monetary statements
    • Good   information of microfinance enterprise

Position 6: MANAGER, CREDIT & SAVING MOBILAZATION DIVISTION.

Educational Qualification: BA degree  in Accounting & Finance, Economics or related subject

Experience: 6 years related expertise 2 of which in senior place

    • Thorough knowledge of accounting priciples & practices
    • Comprehensive knowledge of microfinance enterprise
    •  Excellent information of the monetary regulation of presidency
    • Good knowledge of firm governing polices
    • Ability to oversee & control department

Position 7: MANAGER, GENERAL ACCOUNTS DIVISION

Educational Qualification: MA/BA Degree in Accounting /Management or associated subject

Experience: 6 years related expertise 2 of which in senior place

    • Thorough knowledge of accounting priciples & practices
    • Comprehensive knowledge of microfinance enterprise
    •  Excellent information of the monetary regulation of presidency
    • Good knowledge of firm governing polices
    • Ability to organize assertion of accounts IFRS utility abilities

Position 8: DIRECTOR, AUDIT & INSPECTION DEPARTMENT

Educational Qualification: MA/BA Degree in Accounting /Management or related subject

Experience: 8/6 years relevant expertise Three of which in senior place

    • Comprehensive Knowledge of auditing&accounting Principles&Practices
    • Thorough knowledge of monetary regulation&audit rules
    • Ability to analyze monetary assertion
    • Good knowledge of micro finance enterprise
    • Good communication & human R/n ability
    • Basic pc application ability
