Position: Office Engineer

Position Summary:
The Office Engineer will provide technical and administrative support at the head office by providing technical and administrative support to the project team, ensuring the smooth operation of project activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Documentation: Maintain and organize all project documentation, including contracts, drawings, specifications, and reports. Ensure that all documents are accurate, up-to-date, and accessible to the project team.
- Tender Document Preparation: Assist in the preparation of technical documents for tender as per detailed project specifications, scope of work, and cost estimates. Coordinate with various departments to gather necessary information and ensure that tender submissions meet all requirements.
- Coordination: Assist in coordinating activities between the project team, consultants, sub-contractors, and client representatives. Facilitate communication and ensure that all parties are informed of project progress and any issues that arise.
- Scheduling: Support the development and maintenance of project schedules. Track project milestones and deadlines, and assist in ensuring that the project stays on schedule.
- Cost Control: Assist in monitoring project costs and expenditures. Help prepare cost reports and assist in budget management to ensure that the project remains within budget.
- Quality Assurance: Support quality control activities by helping to review project plans and specifications. Assist in ensuring that construction activities meet required standards and specifications.
- Compliance: Ensure that all project activities comply with relevant government regulations and company policies. Assist in preparing and submitting compliance reports as required.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support to the project team, including reviewing and interpreting construction drawings and specifications. Assist in resolving technical issues that arise during the project.
- Communication: Prepare and distribute project-related correspondence, including meeting minutes, progress reports, and other documentation. Ensure that all communications are clear, concise, and timely.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Hydraulics and Water Resources Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in construction or a related field, with a focus on office engineering, project coordination, or tender document preparation.
Skills:
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Auto CAD, Water CAD, MS Project, Primavera P6) and office software (e.g., MS Office Suite).
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
