Ethiopian Capital Market Authority is established by Capital Market Proclamation No 1248/2021 as an autonomous Federal Regulatory Authority. One of the major objectives of ECMA is to ensure the existence of a capital market environment in which securities can be issued and traded in an orderly, fair, and efficient manner. ECMA, as a regulatory authority, grants licenses to any person to operate as a security exchange, derivative exchange, security depository and clearing company, capital market service provider, over-the-counter trading facility or any other activity deemed by ECMA as a regulated activity under its jurisdiction. ECMA regulates and oversees trading in primary and secondary markets of securities, the use of electronic trading platforms that deal with securities and gives recognition and oversees the activities of self-regulatory organizations.
Position Executive Assistant
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
The Job holder will be responsible for the provision of Administrative support to the Director General and Deputy Director General’s office by tracking diaries, scheduling meetings, supporting in the write-up of memos and external communication, and providing advice on the full range of Administrative policy issues of the Authority.
- Compose and prepare correspondence, acknowledgement letters and other important memos
- Coordinate and arrange meetings, prepare agendas, reserve and prepare facilities, etc.
- Participate in meetings as requested to take meeting notes for future distribution and follow-up.
- Edit and complete first drafts for written communications to external stakeholders.
- Plan, coordinate and ensure the General Director and Deputy Director General’s schedule is followed and respected.
- Prioritize, and follow up on incoming issues and concerns addressed to the Director General Officer, including those of a sensitive or confidential nature and determine appropriate course of action, referral, or response.
- Provide a bridge for smooth communication between the Director General office and internal departments; demonstrating leadership to maintain credibility, trust and support with senior management staff.
- Prioritize conflicting needs; handle matters expeditiously, and proactively follow up projects to successful completion, often with deadline pressures.
- Perform another task when assigned by the supervisor
About You
Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Office Management, Secretarial Science or a field related to the Job function from an Accredited or recognized learning institution.
- 6 years of relevant working experience
