Position : Executive Head of Department Indirect Sales -Enterprise Business Unit
Role purpose: The EHOD Indirect Sales is responsible for developing and executing the indirect sales strategy to drive revenue growth and market share for Safaricom Ethiopia. This role will oversee the management of indirect sales channels, including distributors, partners, and resellers, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall business objectives.

- Achieve a minimum year-over-year growth in revenue through indirect sales channels.
- Ensure channel partners meet or exceed their quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Increase market share in the assigned region or market segment.
- Successfully onboard new channel partners per quarter.
- Maintain a channel partner retention rate annually.
- Reduce the average sales cycle time over the next year.
- Ensure contracts are processed within the agreed SLA.
- Maintain operational costs within the allocated budget, with no variance.
- Achieve a profit margin on sales generated through indirect channels.
- Ensure channel partners complete required training programs of onboarding.
- Achieve a certification rate among channel partners in key competency areas.
- Successfully implement new initiatives aimed at improving channel performance each year.
- Achieve reduction in process bottlenecks and inefficiencies identified during the year.
- Ensure adherence to all compliance and regulatory requirements in channel activities.
- Reduce audit findings related to channel management to zero year-over-year.
- Maintain an accuracy rate in sales and performance data reported.

Must have technical / professional qualifications:
1. Education:
· Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
· A Master’s degree is preferred.
2. Experience:
· Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales and channel management, preferably in the telecommunications industry.
· Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth through indirect sales channels.
· Experience in managing large teams and complex projects.
3. Technical Skills:
· Proficiency in using CRM software, ERP systems, and other relevant sales and business tools.
· Strong MS Office skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint for reporting and presentations.
4. Soft Skills:
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
· High level of integrity and professionalism.
