Dafa is a branch company of the STPP Group from Hong Kong, China. The group has 11 production enterprises and 2 domestic trading companies and 2 import & export companies. After more than 30 years of operation, the group has integrated the upstream and downstream of the chemical industry, including raw materials, packages, semi-finished and finished products, equipment, and production lines.
Dafa Soap & Detergent Manufacturing PLC of Ethiopia was established in 2018, started with washing powder business. In 2022, Dafa company introduced its liquid detergent production line, and produced variety of liquid products, such as laundry liquid, hand liquid, dishwashing liquid, multi-purpose liquid, glass cleaner, bleach, and many other categories. In 2023, to satisfy the highly demand of high-quality jerry cans for its own liquid products, Dafa introduced a brand-new advanced plastic production line.
By now, Dafa has successfully runed two famous brands, Suppow and Azzy, containing more than 80 SKUs. The consumers all over the country are well served with the products and service through the distribution system. Dafa has not only produced good products to satisfy the demand from consumers, but also introduced new technologies, management skills and trained a lot of skilled Ethiopian to boom the detergent and cosmetic industry in Ethiopia.

1.Customs Clearance Specialist

 

Job Summary
As a member of the customs clearance team, this position will be responsible for preparing clearance documentation in a timely and accurate manner, completion of customs clearance documentation, processing of import documentation, regular liaison with customs personnel. You will assist in ensuring that all entries are released, classified and reached project sites accurately and observe all changes related to Customs duty exemptions, tariff etc. and act accordingly
Duties & Responsibilities

  1. To ensure the clearing of good from the Customs within the shortest possible time;
  2. To ensure that annual Customs Duty Exemption is obtained and applied for all applicable items;
  3. Oversee the overall assignments of the Air freight, Land freight and Sea freight customs clearances;
  4. Prepare Customs Duty Exemption Form for materials and components, submit to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ethiopia Customs Department, and get the approval;
  5. Prepare Customs Duty Exemption Form for machinery and spare sparts, submit to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ethiopia Customs Department, and get the approval;
  6. Receive and verify necessary clearing documents from manufactures/suppliers and forward them to the Customs Broker;
  7. Follow -up with the Customs Brokers/Appointed shipping companies for clearance of imported items within the shortest possible time and/or the agreed time frame;
  8. Request and get approval for payment of Customs Duty on non-exempted items. Forward advance payment requests to Accounts for releasing the cheque;
  9. Receive invoices from the Custom Broker, scrutinize and get approval for payment from the Accounts Manager and passing it to Accounts.
  10. Control and update quantify of exempted items in system in order to monitor the balance available quantities;
  11. Follow up of customs duty refund claims from customs authorities;
  12. Follow up for the clearance of undertakings given to imported materials clearance and keep proper records for all pending cases;
  13. You will be required to travel to all Ethiopia Customs borders and Customs Department for clearance of imported goods;
  14. Responsibility for related administrative tasks.

About You

Qualifications:

  1. University graduate, logistics major preferred, Gender: Ladies first, Age: under 28 years old.
  2. Minimum of 1 year experience in Ethiopia customs duty-related routines, freight forwarding/Logistics/Customs familiarity is essential;
  3. Proficiency in English, both writing and speaking is essential;
  4. Excellent inter and Intra-personal communication skills and proven problem-solving and decision-making aptitude;
  5. Self-motivated, result-oriented, well-organized, and have a positive attitude.

2.Sales Representative

 Job Summary

We’re seeking a qualified sales representative to help sell the products and services that our customers rely on.   Duties & Responsibilities

  1. .Represent the company’s products and services, using consumer research as well as deep and comprehensive knowledge of how our products meet the needs of customers
  2.  Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets and expand market share for our detergent   products.
  3. Achieve weekly, monthly, and annual sales targets by successfully implementing sales and marketing strategies and tactics
  4. Stay informed about industry trends, and market conditions to identify new sales opportunities and provide feedback to the marketing and product development teams
  5. Maintain working relationships with existing clients to ensure that they receive exceptional service and to identify potential new sales opportunities
  6. Work closely with the marketing, customer service, and product development teams to ensure a cohesive approach to customer engagement and satisfaction.
  7. Achieve sales goals by assessing current client needs and following a defined selling process with potential buyers, often including product demos and presentations
  8. Possess in-depth product knowledge and be able to conduct demos and handle objections
