The Monitoring and Evaluation Intern will support the development and evaluation of PMI/Surveillance for Malaria Elimination (S4ME) Activity specific Learning, Monitoring & Evaluation (LME) needs to ensure the quality, and effectiveness of Activity implementation.
The intern will assist the LME Advisor and PMI/S4ME field teams in developing performance monitoring plans and results frameworks during implementation, developing annual plans, processes, and tools, contributing to measuring, and analyzing malaria surveillance data, and reporting results.
The opportunity will help build his or her Activity performance measurement skills through exposure to a variety of field-level activities and operational research

Knowledge and Skill requirements:
Have a relevant college Degree
Have excellent writing and analytical skills
Have a high level of computer literacy
Have advanced quantitative skills, including knowledge of statistical programs
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required
Ability to manage diverse activities and to meet deadlines required; flexibility to changing situations and priorities desired.
Demonstrate an understanding of malaria programming
Demonstrate initiative and ability to work independently and as a member of a team to coordinate and/or lead the efforts to effectively meet LME needs.
Be able to commit at least 40 hours a week
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Support PMI/S4ME LME Advisor and field team in implementing Activity Learning, Monitoring & Evaluation plans on an annual basis.
Assist with the design and development of forms and reporting templates for mentorship and malaria surveillance data collection and analysis
Assist field teams in collating case and foci investigation data, analysis and report writing on a monthly and quarterly basis.
Assist PMI/S4ME leadership team in organizing national, regional, and field-level-related activities
Assist PMI/S4ME LME Advisor with data management and cleaning, and report writing as part of reporting to the donor.
Support the team through various administrative activities.
