The National Electoral Board of Ethiopia

The National Electoral Board of Ethiopia (NEBE) is an autonomous institution established in line with Article 102 of the Constitution of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. Since its inception, the Board has opened branch offices at both federal and regional levels, including the two chartered cities. NEBE has successfully conducted five national elections, two local elections, and six referenda.

 

Open Positions

1. Media Monitoring Expert

  • Educational Qualification:
    • MA or BA in Journalism, Communication, Statistics, or related fields.
  • Experience:
    • 5 years for MA or 7 years for BA.
  • Mandatory Training/Certification:
    • News Features, Statistics.
  • Required Knowledge:
    • Proficiency in media monitoring tools and data interpretation.
    • Strong report-writing skills.
  • Work Location: Addis Ababa.

2. Asset Management Expert

  • Educational Qualification:
    • MA or BA in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, or Accounting.
  • Experience:
    • 7 years for BA or 5 years for MA in a related position.
  • Knowledge and Skills:
    • Familiarity with change management methodologies and models.
    • Understanding of supply chain and logistics concepts, Ethiopian labor laws, property administration policies, and modern practices.
    • Proficiency in IF-MIS & EREP software.
    • Expertise in team leadership, change management, HR management, data analysis, and interpretation.
    • Relationship-building and communication skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
    • Non-affiliation with any political party.
  • Work Location: Addis Ababa.

3. ICT Network Administration Expert

  • Educational Qualification:
    • MA or BA in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • 7 years for BA or 5 years for MA with hands-on networking hardware and software experience.
  • Desired Certification:
    • Network-related professional certification.
  • Technical Competencies:
    • Proficient in TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, networking protocols, and network security best practices.
    • Knowledge of cloud services, virtual environments, Windows Server, Linux, and Unix.
    • Experience with network monitoring tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
    • Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and collaboration skills.
  • Work Location: Addis Ababa.

4. Head of Human Resource Management Department

  • Educational Qualification:
    • MA or PhD in HRM, Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related fields.
  • Experience:
    • 10 years for MA or 8 years for PhD, including 4 years in leadership positions in HR administration or development roles.
  • Required Knowledge:
    • Expertise in change management, Ethiopian labor law, HR metrics, and modern HR practices.
    • Non-affiliation with any political party.
  • Work Location: Addis Ababa.

5. Deputy Head of Procurement Management Department

  • Educational Qualification:
    • MA or BA in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Management, Economics, Marketing, or relevant studies.
  • Experience:
    • 9 years for BA or 7 years for MA, with 4 years in leadership positions in procurement and contract administration.
  • Mandatory Training/Certification:
    • Public Procurement Administration Advanced Level Professionalization, IMIS Purchasing Module, e-GP, Team Leadership, CPSM, or CIPS certification.
  • Work Location: Addis Ababa.
