About the company:

Coca-Cola was first bottled in Ethiopia’s capital, Addis Ababa, in 1959 by the Ethiopian Bottling Share Company, which later opened a second branch in Dire Dawa in 1965.

The two plants were nationalized in 1975 and ran as public companies until 1996 when they were bought by Ethiopian entrepreneurs through privatization. Just prior to this, in 1995, Coca-Cola Sabco bought shares in the business and, in 1999, signed joint venture agreement with Ethiopian owners. With its leadership working hand in hand with employees, the business has seen significant growth over the years. Processes and functions have improved, resulting in considerable sales increases. On July 02, 2016, SABMiller plc, The Coca-Cola Company and Gutsche Family Investments (controlling 80% of Coca-Cola South African Bottling Company (Sabco) officilay merged and created Africa’s largest Coca-Cola bottler – Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA)

With the aim of increasing its foot prints across the nation, a new plant was commissioned in 2016 at Bahir Dar having state-of-the-art production facility.

East Africa Bottling Share Company as a Coca Cola Franchise Bottler in Ethiopia under Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA) has three production plants in Addis Ababa, Dire Dawa and Bahir Dar with an aggressive expansion plan throughout the country, hence bringing the total number of employees to more than 1,800.

1:Women Management Trainee – Logistics

Job Description:

Coca-Cola Beverages Africa has taken women development as a strategic initiative with the unwavering believe that companies which embrace inclusivity are rewarded for this in productivity and success. As subsidiary of CCBA, East Africa Bottling SC has a goal of ensuring women to represent on leadership roles and it has designed various women development programs to support them achieve their career aspiration, become the best version of themselves and further make them fit for leadership roles.

In line with this, we are excited to invite qualified and interested women candidates for one of the programs, Women Management Trainee Program-WMTP, intended to develop high potential women towards leadership roles by providing them with the right skill set and leadership competencies.

The learning is designed to be experiential with full application of 70:20:10 Learning methods and take 12-18 Months through different learning approaches such as Job rotation, coaching and mentoring, classroom trainings, shadowing and exposure, e-learning, Peer learning and reflection, Business improvement projects and others to equip candidates with the required knowledge, skill, and attitude.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Agrees to undertake the full training program (which may include both the theoretical and practical Trainings program).

Pursues the training given by company diligently by taking the full ownership and demonstrates that he/she has acquired the desired knowledge and skill at each stage of the training program.

Skill and educational Background

First degree in Mechanical Engineering, Economics, Logistics and Supply Chain Management and related field of studies with at least 5 years logistics experience in FMCG or Manufacturing environment of which 2 years experience in supervisory roles.
